Detailed Description

An excellent variety with a pleasant, long-lasting sweet taste.

It was selected from a group of seedlings that were crossed with Shizuka 7132 as the mother and Asatsuyu as the father. This is a slightly early-maturing variety whose budding period is about 1 to 2 days earlier than Yabukita. Tsuyuhikari's excellence was recognized and it became a recommended tea variety by Shizuoka Prefecture. Excellent variety with good flavour.

The colour of the leaves when processed using the Fukamushi method is a beautiful, bright green and is reflected in the colour of the infusion. The aroma similar to Mochi and a hint of Japanese Sakura blossoms make this tea unique.

The taste is delicious with a harmonious combination of sweetness, richness and umami.
