25g - KAGOSHIMA SENCHA ASANOKA EXCLUSIVE
Asanoka is a cross between Yabukita and a Chinese variety known as Hiramizu, originating from Zheijiang province. It is a unique variety with a strong umami and astringent taste, and has a high amino acid content. This cultivar with a strong cold resistance is slightly early budding, about 1 to 2 days earlier than Yabukita.
The fragrance of this variety is unique, fruity, exotic and floral, sweet, citrusy evoking mango or ripe grape.
This sencha is well-balanced, high amounts of amino acids aid in the sweet taste and extremely refreshing aroma.
25g - KAGOSHIMA SENCHA ASATSUYU EXCLUSIVE
Asatsuyu “morning dew” is a „natural Gyokuro“. It has a taste similar to Gyokuro without the need of a shading process. This cultivar is Native to Kyoto Prefecture and has been Selected from seedlings. It is an early shooting cultivar that starts maturing 6 to 7 days earlier than Yabukita. It is also popular for Fukamushi (deep steamed) tea.
Sencha quality made of this cultivar is excellent. It has a fragrant sweet aroma. The infusion is a bright deep green. The body of the tea is full, with pronounced sweetness and rich umami.
This tea excels in sweetness and has only little astringency.
25g - KAGOSHIMA SENCHA KANAYAMIDORI EXCLUSIVE
Kanayamidori originates from a Yabukita cultivar that was crossed with a tea plant called Shizuoka Zairai number 6. It is slightly late maturing with a sprouting period about 4 to 5 days later than Yabukita. Kanaya midori is a unique tea with a slightly creamy smell, which is suitable not only for Sencha, but also for oolong tea.
It has a rich grassy taste with soft sweetness, milk-like creamy flavor with unique character accompanied with fruity notes of peaches..
This tea has a beautiful balance of aroma, astringency, sweetness and umami.
25g - KAGOSHIMA SENCHA OKUMIDORI EXCLUSIVE
Okumidori is a crossbreed of Yabukita and Shizuzai 16 (native Shizuoka cultivar). It is a late sprouting tea cultivar that matures 7 to 8 days later than Yabukita. Okumidori has a mild taste and is also highly suitable for Gyokuro and Tencha (Matcha).
The quality of Sencha made of this cultivar is excellent. It has been grown in Kagoshima. It has a dark green appearance and unique refreshing aroma with nice green grassy notes. The color of the infusion is deep green and the flavor is clear, well-balanced, refreshing and sweet.
This tea definitely excels in its aroma and umami.
25g - KAGOSHIMA SENCHA TSUYUHIKARI EXCLUSIVE
It was selected from a group of seedlings that were crossed with Shizuka 7132 as the mother and Asatsuyu as the father. This is a slightly early-maturing variety whose budding period is about 1 to 2 days earlier than Yabukita. Tsuyuhikari's excellence was recognized and it became a recommended tea variety by Shizuoka Prefecture. Excellent variety with good flavor. Beautiful light green color when deep steamed.
The colors of leaves are bright green. The brew color of the deep steamed tea leaves shows a beautiful green color. Mochi-like scent, Sakura-like floral feeling makes this tea unique.
The taste is delicious with a harmonious combination of sweetness, richness and umami.
