Tokoname Kyusu (常滑急須 / とこなめ きゅうす) are traditional Japanese teapots from Tokoname, a town in Aichi Prefecture, known as one of Japan’s Six Ancient Kilns.
Renowned for their fine clay texture, excellent heat retention, and natural, unglazed beauty, Tokoname teapots are handcrafted by skilled artisans who continue centuries-old ceramic traditions.
They are especially suited for brewing Japanese green teas such as Sencha, Gyokuro, and Kabusecha, allowing for precise infusion and a pure, balanced flavour.
