Top-grade organically grown Gyokuro from the Yame region, produced from the Tsuyuhikari cultivar. Yame is a renowned area in Fukuoka Prefecture, famous for producing some of Japan’s finest teas.

The Tsuyuhikari cultivar literally translates as “dew light” (Tsuyu means “dew” and Hikari means “light”). The taste is delicious, offering a harmonious combination of sweetness, richness, and umami.

Thanks to traditional shading for four weeks and expert processing, you can enjoy an exceptional tea with an intense umami flavour and a long, sweet aftertaste with a hint of Japanese cherry blossom (Sakura).

The designation “Hon” is reserved for Japanese teas that have been shaded using the traditional method with rice straw.
