A rare Japanese competition tea from the Kagoshima region. The tea is made from the Saemidori cultivar, which is one of the cultivars rich in umami flavor. The leaves are processed using the fukamushi method, which further enhances the full and complex flavor of this tea.
This tea has won awards at the New Japanese Tea Competition in 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019, and even won the platinum prize in 2014. In our opinion, this is the best sencha in our Kagoshima range.
