Wira Wira (lat. Gnaphalium graveolens) is a traditional medicinal herb native to the South American Andes, especially Bolivia, Peru and Ecuador.
Wira Wira (translated as "herb of herbs"). It grows in the dry mountainous regions of the Andes, at altitudes above 2,500 meters above sea level. It is a small plant with oval leaves covered with fine hairs, which give it a silvery appearance. The flowers are small and yellowish, similar to chamomile flowers.
It has a slightly bitter, earthy taste.
Dosage: 1 - 2 tablespoons (approx. 5 grams) per 1 liter of water. Let it steep for 5 to 10 minutes and drink warm throughout the day.
Warning: It is recommended to consult a doctor before use in pregnant or breastfeeding women and young children. It is also not suitable for people with allergies to plants such as chamomile, calendula or echinacea.
Long-term use: Long-term use without breaks is not recommended - the herb should only be used during the period of illness or as needed.
