Black maca is especially sought after by men. Maca negra (black maca) is one of the varieties of the maca plant (Lepidium meyenii) that grows at high altitudes in the Peruvian Andes. Black maca is known as the strongest of all the species (yellow, red, black). It is also called "Peruvian ginseng".
Dosage: Usually 1-3 teaspoons per day (or as recommended), best in the morning with breakfast.
How to use: You can add maca to smoothies, juices, oatmeal or baking, or simply mix it in water, fruit juice or milk.
Start small: Start with 1/2 teaspoon per day and gradually increase to allow your body to adjust.
Recommended break: Take for 4-6 weeks, then stop for 1-2 weeks to allow your body to rest.
Warning: Follow the recommended daily dosage. Excessive use may cause digestive problems or insomnia.
Not suitable for pregnant and breastfeeding women. If you are interested in using maca powder, consult your doctor.
