Shizuoka Kate-Benifuki is a pure natural Japanese green tea from the Benifuki cultivar. It is a lesser-known Japanese tea with a distinct character and interesting genetic background.

This green tea is organically grown from the Shizuoka region of Japan and is made from the Benifuki cultivar, which was developed by Japanese scientists at the Institute for the Development of Healthy Foods. It was created by crossbreeding Japanese and Indian tea varieties, giving it a more robust flavour and a higher proportion of certain catechins, including EGCG. It was registered with the Ministry of Agriculture of Japan in 1993.

Kate-Benifuki is known for its distinctive flavour and is suitable for both daily and long-term drinking.
