"Wild Peaks from the Yellow Mountains" is an exceptional and refreshing green tea from the renowned Huang Shan range (Yellow Mountains) in Anhui Province, China. This is one of the most esteemed regions for green tea cultivation, known for its pure mountain air, misty climate and mineral-rich soil.

The term Ye Sheng (野生) means the tea comes from wild-growing tea trees that have not been selectively bred – giving the tea a naturally rich and original flavour profile. Leaves from wild or semi-wild tea plants tend to have a more complex bioactive composition and a distinctive wild character, noticeable in both taste and aroma.

This tea is hand-picked in spring and processed using traditional methods. The fine buds and young leaves, covered with soft down, are elegantly shaped – "mao feng" translates as "hairy peak".

The infusion has a light green colour with a gentle herbal aroma.

The flavour is fresh, smooth and clean, with notes of meadow herbs, delicate nuts and a soft floral sweetness. It finishes with a long-lasting, slightly sweet aftertaste and a subtle wild nuance.
