The Sayamakaori cultivar represents approximately 2% of Japanese tea production. The word "kaori", translated as "fragrant", in its name indicates that it stands out precisely for its aroma.

The leaf is dark green, shiny, shaped into beautiful long needles. The aroma of the leaves reveals pleasant herbal and grassy tones. The steamed leaf has a wonderful aroma of flowers and citrus. The infusion is clear, light green. The taste is refreshing, harmonious with an umami taste and a pleasant herbal aftertaste.
