Formosa Ruan Zhi Hong Cha

An enchanting Taiwanese red (black) tea from the renowned high-mountain region of Ali Shan. This tea is meticulously crafted from the Ruan Zhi cultivar, a variety more commonly associated with premium oolongs, lending this red tea an exceptional depth and refined elegance.

From the moment you open the package, you are greeted by a warming aroma of woody notes, dark chocolate, honey and ripe fruit. Once infused, and throughout the successive infusions, a fascinating and complex symphony of cinnamon, spring honey, sweet apples and red grapes gradually unfolds.

Thanks to its precise processing, the deep amber liquor contains very low levels of tannins, resulting in a remarkably smooth cup free from any astringency. The flavour is rich, perfectly balanced, silky, velvety smooth and naturally sweet.
