Uji Matcha Ujimidori
A Japanese ceremonial matcha made from the relatively rare Ujihikari cultivar, grown in the renowned tea region of Uji.
The tea bushes were shade-grown for one month before harvest using traditional methods.
This cultivar was developed by the Tea Research Center in Kyoto Prefecture.
Ujimidori was bred in 1983 under the name Kyoken No. 307 (京研307号) by selecting native tea plants from the Uji region.
