Avongrove Tea Estate, located in the misty hills of Darjeeling, is an oasis of natural tranquillity. For more than 150 years they have been growing premium teas using organic, ethical methods that have been handed down from generation to generation.
The dry, tiny, slightly oxidised leaves with a high tips content are reminiscent of biscuits in aroma. When the leaves are heated, the scents of flowers and sweet notes of vanilla are released. In between the infusions, sweet complex notes of grape juice and forest honey emerge. The light infusion has a complex harmonious flavour with sparkling notes, complemented by pleasant light woody tannins and a longer aftertaste.
