Zhong porcelain - blue bamboo

A hand-painted porcelain zhong (gaiwan) with a delicate blue bamboo motif and a capacity of 150 ml is a traditional Chinese vessel designed for brewing loose leaf tea.

Its clean, elegant design allows the tea itself – its aroma, colour and flavour – to fully unfold. Porcelain is a neutral material that does not affect the taste of the infusion while retaining heat well. The zhong consists of three parts – a bowl, lid and saucer – and is suitable for preparing a wide range of teas, especially green, white, oolong and pu-erh.
