A white tea from the high-altitude Sandakphu region of Nepal, where tea plants grow in a pristine mountain environment at approximately 2,000 metres above sea level.
The dry leaves, in both appearance and aroma, evoke a blend of dried medicinal herbs and flowers. Once infused, they release a delicate, light fragrance with hints of aromatic rice. The flavour is gently grassy, naturally sweet and herbal.
Pleasant fruity notes with a subtle candy-like quality emerge throughout the tasting, adding a distinctive playful touch to the infusion.
Recommended brewing temperature: 80 °C.
Nepal White Peony is also suitable for long-term ageing. As it matures, its initial grassy character gradually softens, allowing greater sweetness and fruitiness to come to the fore. An intriguing tea whose evolution can be followed over the years.
