The green form of the traditional South American herbal tea Yerba Maté (Paraguayan holly). It contains a large amount of minerals, vitamins and antioxidants. It has pronounced stimulating properties.
The infusion has a green-brown color and a slightly smoky aroma. The taste is strong, slightly astringent and long-lasting.
Yerba Maté is traditionally prepared in a calabaza (a container made from a special gourd) and drunk through a bombilla (a metal tube with a strainer at the bottom).
