Shizuoka Okumidori Matcha is a ceremonial grade of finely ground Japanese matcha green tea, made from the Okumidori cultivar.

It offers an exceptionally smooth, delicate flavour profile and a pleasant, fresh green colour. The leaves are grown in the scenic Shizuoka region, near Mount Fuji, and the tea bushes are shaded in the traditional way for one month before harvesting.

Its softness makes it suitable for people who are just starting to drink matcha.

Matcha is traditionally used in the Japanese tea ceremony (known as sadō/chadō (茶道, 'The Way of Tea') or chanoyu (茶の湯). It is also suitable for modern preparation methods, including lattes or cold drinks.

This product is a more environmentally friendly and economical alternative. It does not include a tea can, just matcha tea in a metal bag.
